SHIVANI DUBEY

Hi, I'm Shivani. I’m a freelance multimedia journalist and editor based in London with bylines in publications like VICE, Mashable, Vogue, Cosmo, i-D, Refinery29, The Daily Beast, etc.

I currently freelance for HuffPost UK. I cover a range of topics like lifestyle, pop culture, entertainment, social trends and occasionally, politics and current affairs. I recently graduated from UAL with a Masters degree in Arts and Lifestyle Journalism for which I earned a distinction. I also wrote regular articles for Digital Spy and occasionally handle Metro.co.uk's social platforms.

In 2018, I covered the Section 377 gay sex verdict in India, among other things, which featured on the front page of one of India's biggest national newspapers. I have interviewed people like Ted Lasso's Jeremy Swift, director Hannah Lux Davis and romance author Talia Hibbert. I have also written about my experience of meeting showrunner Jesse Armstrong at the height of Succession. I have experience in magazine journalism, having spearheaded, written, edited and even created a few of them during my academic career. I have also been a producer of two radio shows during a radio internship where I also interviewed a slew of Indian celebrities.​I was also an Assistant Editor at Affinity Magazine for 9 months and a sub-editor at my university's student media body for three years. I also have experience in radio and video.

I have been freelancing for the last 12 months and I am always on the lookout for my next article or full-time job!
